Men's Somatic Process Group
Connection Through Present-Moment Experience
What is a Process Group?
Process Focus
Like the name suggests, the focus of the group is on the process of how we are relating and not necessarily the content of what is being shared. This allows us to better see otherwise invisible dynamics
Social Microcosm
Process groups are like laboratories where we can identify and try out different ways of relating with a skilled facilitator creating a safe space to explore
Present Moment
While group members may share about events that happen outside of the group, the focus of the group is on what is happening in the here and now. This focus may be different from your usual interactions with people

This group is for you if...
-
You identify as a man and are 18+ y.o.

-
You’ve done some work on yourself — maybe individual therapy, maybe just a lot of hard thinking — and you sense the next level requires other people

-
You’re tired of being the guy who holds it together for everyone else but doesn’t have a place to put down the weight

-
You notice patterns in your relationships — with your partner, your kids, your coworkers — that you can’t seem to change no matter how well you understand them

-
You’re curious about what’s happening in your body when stress hits, when you shut down, when you get reactive — and you want to learn to work with that instead of against it

-
You want to be around other men who are doing real work — not performing wellness, not pretending, actually showing up

-
You’re willing to be seen. Not perfectly, not all at once — but you’re willing to try

-
You’ve been thinking about doing something like this for a while and keep finding reasons not to. That hesitation is worth paying attention to.
This group is NOT for you if...
-
You’re looking for a place to vent without being challenged

-
You want someone to tell you your problems are everyone else’s fault

-
You’re not willing to show up consistently — the group only works because every man in the room has committed to being there
-
You’re in acute crisis — individual therapy is the right first step and I’m happy to help you find that

-
You’re hoping to feel better without feeling anything uncomfortable first

About me

I'm Evan, a licensed therapist based in Asheville. I run this group because I've seen what happens when men finally have a space where they don't have to perform or protect themselves — and I've experienced what it costs men when they never find that space. There is a potency in the air when people gather with the intention of being real, raw, and vulnerable together. In my experience, this supercharges healing work in a way one-on-one or solo healing can't.

I work somatically because I've watched men understand their patterns intellectually for years without anything shifting. The body is where the real information lives, and learning to work with it rather than override it changes things in a way that talking alone often doesn't.

I'm not here to fix you or tell you what your experience means. I'm here to hold a container where you can more deeply experience yourself — with other men doing the same work alongside you.
